FSC Certification
The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) is a globally recognised organisation that promotes responsible forest management. FSC certification helps ensure that wood and paper products come from forests that are managed in ways that protect wildlife, support local communities, and safeguard forests for future generations.
By choosing FSC certified materials, you're helping to protect forests and support a more sustainable future.
Lanka Kade achieved FSC® Chain of Custody Certification in October 2023. Our own wood processing facility in Sri Lanka processes FSC certified rubber wood, giving us full traceability from forest to finished product. You can verify our FSC certification by entering certificate code C191911.
Our rubber wood comes from trees that have reached the end of their latex-producing life. Once the latex has been harvested, the trees are felled and replaced with new rubber trees, which can reach maturity in as little as 13 years. Rather than allowing this valuable wood to go to waste, we transform it into beautiful, long-lasting toys.
We also source FSC Mix MDF from India. This certification means the material is made from a combination of FSC certified wood, recycled materials, and responsibly controlled sources. You can verify our supplier's FSC certification using certificate code BV-COC-172768.
